Ready Steady Go!

Walking Wings
I remember when I 1st let Sara try on the pink walking wings last December, the moment I put it on her and try to hold her up in it, she was screaming and crying away. Subsquently, whenever I bring the walking wings out and attemp to let her wear she would cry and cry. She just hated the sight of it. 2 weeks back, Sara's Yee Ma got Sara to try and walking (supporting her by holding on to her arms) by playing "catching" with Tristan Gor Gor. The "catching" game made it very interesting for Sara to get started on walking. Thank You Yee Ma! It was then that I realised that she was ready to acquire the walking skill. So on Sunday, I decided to bring out the walking wings and see if Sara was ok to walk wearing it. *Phew* she was and was walking with the walking wings for about 50m. For months I thought that I wasted $$ buying the walking wings and that it would be a white elephant at home.

Tricycle
Some months back when I put Sara in Tristen Gor Gor's trike, she would whine and cry and cringe back on to me the moment I fasten the seat belt. It's probably because of separation anxiety she was feeling. Yesterday, when I let her try Gor Gor's trike again, she was much better. She could sit in it for a good 15 to 20 minutes.

Morale of the Story
When your baby refused to do certain things most likely it's because they are not Ready. Give them time and space to grow and acquire the new skill. They will somehow let you know when they ready. Never give up on them and never stop exploring new things with them. They can't/refuse to do certain things now doesn't mean they wouldn't want to do it in the future. Remember, each kid is an individual let them grow at their own pace.

A baby step to walking

Sara is now able to take little baby steps with support from us. Everytime when we hold her arms up to help her to walk, she would be very happy and excited. She is also showing glimpse of standing on her own without any support but think she is still lacking a bit on confident. I am sure the confident will come in due time :)

Outing at the Barrage

Took Sara, my parents and inlaws for a family outing at the Marina Barrage on Sunday. Weather was good and very windy. We were surprised by huge turn out at the Barrage as the carpark was sardine packed and we had to park by the road which was also very pack. Apparently, the Barrage is becoming a very popular kite flying venue and it was a pretty sight seeing so many colourful kites up in the sky.

Baby Sara managed to sit in her pram through out the outing which was really very good.  Maybe it's cos of the many colourful kites up in the sky that distracted her or it's cos she was holding on to her favourite toy "the carrot". Can't really remember when was the last time she was willing to sit in her pram without kicking a fuss after 5 mins. Shall let her sit more in her pram in the future. She is getting really heavy to carry over a long period of time.

We are family

As much as I refuse to admit, Sara really looks like her daddy when he was young :(  Of course that fact made daddy very very happy and mummy very very upset. Hahaha... However, I would like to think baby Sara is alot cuter than daddy 'cos of the infusion of my good genes and features. Hehehe...

Let's hope that Sara will be smarter as she grows up and perform a 超机变变变!
